Dr. Buzz Powell brings more than 35 years of experience in the asphalt industry. Prior to joining the Asphalt Pavement Alliance as its first Technical Director, he spent 24 years at the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT), serving as the organization's first Test Track Manager. Earlier in his career, he worked with the Alabama Department of Transportation and in the private sector. Throughout his career, Buzz has been passionate about advancing asphalt technology, improving pavement performance, and sharing the history and evolution of our industry.
