Women of Asphalt Committees

Women of Asphalt (WofA) committees bring together members from across the country to share ideas, strengthen connections, and help shape the future of our organization.

Committees are made up of volunteer members and leaders who collaborate with WofA staff and the Board of Directors to advance our mission of empowering women in all aspects of the asphalt industry.

Please note: Committees are currently being restructured. A call for volunteers will open in early 2026 - check back soon for opportunities to get involved!

Awareness Committee 

To engage, support, and grow national membership by creating meaningful connections, promoting member value, and elevating the overall WofA experience.

What We Do:

  • Strengthen industry awareness and spotlight women in the industry through campaigns such as "20 in 2020" and "22 and 2022"

  • Highlight members and success stories through recognition campaigns.

  • Gather feedback through annual member surveys to continuously improve the WofA experience.

  • Promote WofA at industry events and empower member ambassadors to grow our reach.

Who Can Join:
Open to all WofA members in good standing who want to help grow and support our membership community.

Knowledge Committee

To support professional development and learning across the industry by helping create and share resources that elevate women in asphalt. 

What We Do:

  • Support educational programming and learning opportunities for members.

  • Help identify industry topics that matter most to women in asphalt.

  • Promote knowledge-sharing through webinars, events, and member resources .

  • Collaborate with partners and industry leaders to expand learning access.

Who Can Join:
Open to all WofA members in good standing who want to help grow and support our national membership community.

Community Committee

To strengthen collaboration between National WofA and our branches by providing support, tools, and communication channels that foster alignment, growth, and consistency across the network.

What We Do:

  • Serve as a bridge between National WofA and branch leaders to support shared goals and alignment.

  • Share tools, resources, and best practices that help branches thrive.

  • Encourage collaboration across branches and regions.

  • Support branch leaders in building programs that grow local engagement.

Who Can Join:
This is a branch leadership committee (participation is limited to branch leaders and invited representatives). 

WofA committees are where ideas turn into action. They provide opportunities to:

  • Shape the programs and resources that define the WofA member experience.

  • Network with women leaders and professionals nationwide.

  • Help strengthen the connection between National and local branches.

Option 1: When You Become a Member

  • During the “Become a Member” sign-up process, you can select your committee preferences.

Option 2: Through Your Member Compass

  • Log in to your WofA Member Compass.

  • Navigate to Profile Settings.

  • Scroll down to the Committees section.

  • Select the committee(s) you’d like to join and save your preferences.

Once you’ve opted in, the WofA team will connect you with the appropriate committee chair and share upcoming meeting details.
