Women of Asphalt’s new Make the Case: Employer Support Toolkit is designed to help members turn a professional development opportunity into a clear business case for their organization.
Whether you’re hoping to attend World of Asphalt, the WofA Leadership Summit, or another industry event, this resource walks you through how to identify the business need, outline the investment, demonstrate potential return, and show how you’ll bring what you learn back to your team.
How to Use It
- Start with the five-question framework. Identify the problem, solution, investment, expected return, and how you’ll share what you learn.
- Customize the event-specific business case. The current toolkit includes examples for World of Asphalt and the WofA x Astec Leadership Summit.
- Use the manager approval email. Members can customize the included template rather than starting their request from scratch.
- Follow through after the event. The toolkit gives members a 48-hour, one-week, and 30–90-day roadmap for demonstrating the value of the investment.
